In high school, even students with strong basic skills, good organizational abilities and a well developed work ethic can hit the wall when presented with complex material across a broad range of subjects.  One evening of homework might begin with advanced foreign language, then a switch to complex math, then a review of 300 years of history, and finish with a 500-word essay!   

For many of our students, one or more of these subjects is at the Honors or Advanced Placement (AP) level.  Our high school tutors are specifically skilled in students’ courses, as well as the relevant big picture organizational and study skills needed to succeed in high school.  They help students stay motivated throughout a semester by helping them see their work in the context of longer time periods and breaking down seemingly overwhelming tasks into manageable pieces, both of which are critical skills for college.
