Ashley Feinstein, M.A., Learning Specialist (Los Angeles)

Ashley is currently pursuing her post-masters certificate in educational therapy and working with students with various learning disabilities and other learning challenges at her office in Santa Monica, California. She specializes in dyslexia, ADHD, and executive function problems and helps students overcome their learning challenges through assessment, remediation, and encouragement. Since learning disabilities can mask the presence of giftedness, Ashley’s goal is to help students discover their strengths and true potential.

Ashley began her career in education and psychology as an academic tutor, teacher, and the former Director of Tutoring Services at Launch Education. She has over 500 hours of one-to-one tutoring experience and has spent more than 3 years in the classroom. Acceptance and respect lay at the foundation of her work with each and every student – this practice enables her to genuinely connect with students who come to see that she is more than just an educator, but rather a person truly invested in their success and wellbeing.

Like many of her students, Ashley was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended Chaminade High School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley. She earned her Master of Arts in Psychology at Pepperdine University. While at Pepperdine, she was specifically trained in principles and theories of learning, assessment of intelligence, personality assessment, and research methods. She also conducted a qualitative research study examining clinicians' preferred interventions for school-aged children with ADHD.

Ashley is also a swim teacher, occasional marathon runner, member of a book club, and religious school teacher. She loves playing Wurdle and has been known to submit captions to the New Yorker's cartoon caption contest.
