On quia.com, teachers and scholars have designed and posted games, tutorials, study guides, and practice tests for just about every subject. Students can reap the benefits of other educators’ shared work, or they can develop their own activities to help them master a variety of concepts.
AP students can utilize this online compilation of detailed notes, outlines, vocabulary terms, practice tests, biographies, essays, DBQs and study guides. Course-Notes.com has materials for US History, US Government and Politics, European History, World History, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and more!
Students can create their own games and quizzes or utilize those made by other users. Studystack.com is a great place to master class material. Students can export Studystack materials to cell phones, laptops, and iPods if they have to study on the go!
Students can make a difference in the world while improving their own academic skills. Freerice.com focuses on improving vocabulary and knowledge in a variety of subjects including English, Foreign Language, Science, Social Studies, and Math. For every correct answer a student gives, the program donates 20 grains of rice to the UN World Food Program to help hunger.
Quizlet.com serves as an alternative to flashcards for students trying to learn vocabulary or other rote material for any given subject. Students can make a list of words for the website to quiz them on, or they can share lists with their classmates.
